Our range of house wires – gives a new meaning to the term safety These Wires are coated with a specially formulated Lead free + Heat resistant + Flame retardant PVC insulation to make sure safety is never compromised.
They meet the latest requirements of IS 694:2010 in regard to flame retardation properties which translates into extra protection against electric shocks, short circuits and fires. To add to that, their special PVC compound offers high insulation resistance and dialectric strength.

3 PRO Technology
What places HomeFort in a league of its own is its unique 3PRO technology which results in three unique levels of protection:
Heat Resistant Core
While ordinary PVC can withstand a working temperature up to 70o C, the HR85 PVC used in the Copper Touch (CT) of HomeFort and FlexiFort wire is able to bear temperature up to 85o C. These wires are therefore able to withstand a much higher working temperature than other PVC wires, making them electrically and mechanically more stable.

Triple Layer Insulation
Triple layer insulation leads to relatively high electric strength of the insulation with a breakdown voltage of minimum 6kV. As Fortis uses a different grade of PVC compound in every layer, the distance travelled by leaked current is far higher as compared to when the same compound is used for the entire insulation or even when the same compound is used in the layers. The triple extrusion process used to manufacture the wires ensures that current leakage from the conductor through the insulation is upto 124 times lower than the values defined under international safety standards which allow a current leakage of upto 0.75 mAmps of hand held wires.

Heat Resistant Flame Retardant Insulation
Apart from being able to withstand additional heat, the HRFR85 used in the skin of the wire is able to withstand a fire condition of more than 29% oxygen index and 250o C temperature index. HomeFort and FlexiFort wires have self-extinguishing properties once they are removed from the direct source of fire. The specially developed insulation also gives excellent flexibility and high electrical, mechnaical and thermal resistance to the conductior.
In addition to the three levels of protection, HomeFort comes with the following features:

ROHS compliant
HomeFort meets the standards prescribed by the European Union with regard to the restrictions on the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. In other words, there is no release of hazardous substances from these wires, thereby eliminating any danger to human health and to the environment.

Anti-termite & anti-rodent
HomeFort wires come with termite and rodent repulsion properties, thus eliminating the possibility of short circuits that can otherwise cause tremendous loss of property and even human life.
